iPhone + Menlo Park Vacancies

While I was in Menlo Park for Amanda and Greg’s wedding, I took an early morning stroll for some breakfast.  I spotted these interesting patterns and symmetries on some vacant office buildings along the way.

Limo Party

I was knee-deep in editing this afternoon when I got a call from my old high school classmate, Jason, who is the new general manager at Premier Limosine.  Premier is San Diego’s newest and hottest limousine company, and they were having a grand opening event down at their headquarters in PB.  After working out the details I headed down and shot some great images of the grand opening.  They had a great band, killer tequila bar, a cigar roller and fantastic food.  In addition to the grab-n-grin shots of partygoers, I wanted to make some different images that captured the feeling of the night.

Random Low Tide

I recently picked up some new gear–a D700 and a D3, as well as a 17-35mm. The best thing about these new bodies is that they’re full frame, meaning the images are recorded at exactly the focal length of the lens. With my older bodies, the sensors had a 1.5x crop factor, so it was hard to get REALLY wide shots.

Shot these with the D700 on a rainy day in Cardiff with a super low tide.
